Kappa League

 

Kappa League is an organization that embodies all the aspects of leadership development and self-motivation for career achievement. Through club oriented activities, the officers and membership perform many projects that will expose them to learning, execution, reporting ideas, and stimulating good leadership characteristics designed to raise their aspiration levels.  All activities and programs are taken from one or more of the following phases:  Self Identity, Training, Competition, Social, and Health Education.  The primary purpose of the Kappa League is to help young men in High School achieve worthy goals and make constructive contributions to their communities when they become leaders.

 

The Kappa League consist of young men from Carolina High School & Academy of Pre-Engineering & Health Professions, Greenville, South Carolina.  The members are: Roderick Goldsmith George Greene, Michael Hawthorne, Rodrigus McKinney, Lorenzo Powers, Robert Stewart, Amos Valentine, Daniel Vance, Marterian Vance, Matthew Vance,  and Naterian Vance. Brother Alex Cummings serves as the Kappa League Advisor.

 

Programs and Activities for the fraternal year are:

 

School-wide food collection for Thanksgiving

School-wide canned food drive & monetary collection for Christmas

Adopt-a-family for Christmas

Kappa Knights Enrichment Activities Support

Family & Friends Cook-out

A Saturday College Athletic Game

College Visits : Homecoming, etc.

Tutoring/Mentoring Program at an Elementary School

Attend a Church Service together

Plan an overnight trip together for bonding

Design a Tee shirt or Jersey

Have an active role in the Kappa Alpha Psi Provincial Council Meeting

Plan a Special Teacher Appreciation Day

Purchase a Special Gift for the School in Memory

Participate in the Student of the Year Competition & Pageant at Provincial Meeting
