As the Polemarch of the Greenville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity,
I greet you to our website. We are indeed elated that you have taken the time to
visit us on our website, I hope your visit will be informative and beneficial to
you.
The Greenville-Spartanburg Chapter was charted in 1950 and has been dedicated to
servicing the communities of Greenville, Spartanburg and surrounding areas ever
since. In September 2003, the Spartanburg Alumni Chapter was formed and we have
changed our name to the Greenville Alumni Chapter
Our community projects include working with the area hospitals in the screening
of males for prostrate cancer, high blood pressure, cholesterol and colon cancer.
We provide Christmas gifts to a deserving family. We participate in the
Adopt-a-Highway program.
We render service to our local schools in the form of our reading program,
scholarships for students to seek higher learning, the Kappa Knight program in the
middle schools and the Kappa League program in select high schools. Our Violence
Prevention Program is held each year at the Greenville Technical College for
students of all ages. We get support for this program from local law enforcement
agencies, the Department of Social Services, staff at Greenville Tech, local
churches, and the Public School System.
This site contains a brief history of our fraternity also. I could continue with
our contributions to the community, but any member of the Greenville Alumni Chapter
will be more than willing to talk with you or your group about our activities.
How can we be of service to you? Again I say Thank You for your interest in
the programs of our fraternity.
Sincerely,
Ernie Hamilton
